Sept 13'07: I know the SATA image for 10.0 is outdated, and SATA support is now built in. I am leaving this stuff up, though. If nothing else it can help you learn how to build a Slackware/Linux image.
Feb 5'05: I changed the torrent for 10.0 SATA that I wrote. It is the same image, it just includes some hash files for verifying that the image you downloaded is an exact copy. There are plenty of decent programs out there to decypher those hash files (One good one that comes to mind is RapidCRC).
Any files you see here (from me) are hosted on a Pentium 1 Web Server. This works great (running with mostly v12 packages) but unfortunately it is hosted on a "3.0Mbps" ATT DSL. (Ya, right...)
They like to run your DSL at the lowest tier/rung of 3.0Mbps. What this means is this basically leaves me with an almost 'true' 1.5Mbps DSL while paying for a 3Mbps line. (If you get an ATT DSL keep this in mind!) To you this means upload speed (about 50KB/Sec) is your limiting factor on this site. I would advise you to get bittorrent working as it is an awesome way to get most anything... not just ISO's... ;) Don't forget to follow the guide's and open your bittorrent port if you are running on a local router. (Or firewall).
Regarding the Yahoo Download area:
Most of these files are *at most* only 1.44 MB (Floppies). I will move these to the local webserver here, soon. So just go to the link above...for now.
Right now on the download site there are some boot disks I compiled for Slackware Linux to be able to install to any (*hopefully*) SATA Hard Drive! I also threw up a zipped version of all the 'rawrite' programs.
Update (9-13-2007):
For what it is worth, if you are one of the odd individuals who wants my old SATA Image, it's now archived here:
Questions???
If you have no idea what any of this is about, I would recommend reading up about Linux at LinuxQuestions.Org or the The Linux Documentation Project and specifically about my favorite distribution SLACKWARE. Questions to me can be sent through the Mail Page.
